IDrive Online Backup App Reviews

I paid $25 and was real excited to use this app. I was shocked when I backed up my files to find out it only backed up 49 photos out of the hundreds I have. What a waste.

The Local Backup option is the best. I bought a new phone and I was able to restore all my data in just no time. Must Try.

Makes data storing so much easier. All I need is a good WiFi connection and this app does the rest. No more worries of losing all my data.

I love how it categorises and saves my data within locally created departments and makes it so much easier for a quick access.

Have used a lot of back up cloud apps but my best experience has been with iCloud. It makes the access to my data linked to various accounts so quick and hassle free.

I got a special. 1tb for a year at $13.99. I have excellent internet bandwidth for residential. When I first got this my uploads were super fast. I could watch them take a 1-2 seconds a picture then onto the next. Then a few months go by and the speed is 10 minutes a picture. My wife takes large photos so they are maybe 10mb but the same size when it was blazing fast. I have contacted customer support but they say they didnt restrict my upload speed and nothing has changed. Clearly my ability to upload has diminished considerably. I have googled them and the problem is not just with me. I have removed the credit card they use for auto billing. I hope they figure out what has killed the ability of their customers to upload their photos quickly but until then AVOID AT ALL COST!

I downloaded the latest iPhone update. Heres how they describe the improvements: "bug fixes and enhancements". I dont expect details of "bug fixes". But "enhancements" is kind of useless.

I prefer a Sugarsync setup over a me too Dropbox, box, onedrive, look alike service. But for the price it appears to do the job. Get the cnet first year deal 6 bucks for a year.

But now not working why?

Update I canceled service but it is impossible to UN install this software on iMac Leave crumbs everywhere and startup icon wont erase Avoid at all cost I backup in minutes with Dropbox google drive or any other medium I drive never reaches more than AOL dialup kind of speed ~ 50kbs Total joke. Will take a week to do my back up Canceling this " service" Every user seems to have same issue

This app tells me I need to upgrade (pay for a one year subscription) to use it for backup or restore. I was charged through the app store for that upgrade. I contacted them but they would not renew my account. This does not seem to be a reliable company.

I think u NEVER add the iOS notes for backup then I give u ONE star... Sorry If u put add NOTES for BACKUP then I will probably give u 4 or 5 stars... OR u never listen me what I said then fine with me so I will look another BEST app is better than your app then I will delete it cuz I refused to PAY for it.... Sorry!!! Thats why I gave u ONE STAR!!!!!

I have used the application for a while now and i am happy with it. I wish if you can add Notes back-up as well.

I use this program to backup everything even my servers. You can divvy out the storage to unlimited sub accounts too. Cant get that with Dropbox.

Every time I try to use the App it CRASHES. Ive had it for at least a year now and now matter the iPhone updates it still CRASHES. Sadly I HAVE to give it a single star just to submit this - it does NOT deserve it. Im deleting it - I want to be UNSUBSCRIBED.

I love this app and I know that it was worth it.

Not sure what all the negativity is about with these reviews. Glad I took a chance anyway and for 10 bucks, major score!! Easy setup, easy to navigate, and for life! Couldnt go wrong. As far as upload time, it stored 1500 pics off my ipad in 20 minutes and 3400 off my iphone in a little over an hour. Thanks iDrive! UPDATE... Almost a year using iDrive and i couldnt be happier. Still running strong after almost a year. Thanks again iDrive.

Wont open at all on my iPad.

I had this app for over a month and it was still backing up my iPad to the cloud. Took over 30 mb of my iPad storage, (for what?!?) The instructions for saving to my Airport were unnecessarily complicated and muddled. The FAQs included no feedback for any of these issues. Uninstalled.

This last update broke the settings! Every time that I tap on the settings menu choice, it just goes back to the main screen instead of going into the app setting. Please fix it!
