IDrive Online Backup App Reviews

It takes forever to backup my systems. Error codes abound. Im never sure what my latest contains. Errors when deleting files so Im over my storage space. So, I get billed extra$. Confusing interface. Im cancelling this and getting a 4tb external network drive (personal cloud) and using Mac software for backups. Cheaper. More secure. Easier. Faster. And Ill know what I have saved.

I got this app about a year ago and put all of my pictures in it. I went on it the other day and all of my pictures were missing! All my memories gone. Its empty.

The reason to have a backup app is to do the work r you , otherwise I will do it myself. The app does not backup automatically to theirs servers, you have to manually open he app to initiate the backup process. This is not very handy in the event of a lost phone, you can end losing a lot of precious baby pictures. I rather go for iCloud or another cloud backup service, until they dont fix the backup in background , I will dont think this worth a try.

I really, really like this app. It is easy to use and helps keep my picture/videos manageable on all of my phones. I can access all pic or video from any computer and save them to the hard drive or upload them to facebook or twitter. I recommend upgrading to the unlimited storage for mobile devices. Well worth the money spent.

Great app able to backup all my devices to one area and easy accessibility when need to.

Auto upload does not work in background. App does not upload until I open it. Should be given an option to auto upload when connected to a charger. Also I have videos that arent uploaded. The app says it is and is given a green shield. But when I go into what is uploaded, the videos dont show.

this was the worst back up program ever. I never got it to back up all my date. it would just stop at some point and tell me it is complete. cant handle renaming folders at all. it took the support over a week to get back to me and then they didnt even answer my question. and stupid me I even paid for two years up front. I switched back to Dropbox. iDrive is not worth the headache.

Easy to use. Like the design of the App. All photos r downloaded very easy n all photos r nice n sharp. Can not go wrong with the annual fee of $4.99 for extra Backup. Thats really GREAT . I highly recommend IDRIVE. The Best Backup App in the Market. I love it. Keep up the good work.

This is from my point of view the better and cheaper one of the market. I have the mobile plan and i can backup all my HD videos and photos unlimited, its great! Love this app

This app only backs up (and only bits and pieces) Calendar, Contacts, Videos, and Photos. It takes a lifetime to back up everything. Once your device sleeps so does the app. Thats great if u r worried about your data charges or if u r not using wifi. But its a pain in the butt to constantly tell the app to back up and it does it shoddy to begin with. Other apps like DropBox or iCloud put this app to shame. Dont bother paying for the extra storage. U r just throwing your money away. So if u like watching paint dry or waiting in line at the DMV, then this apps right up your alley.

I just installed the app on my iPhone 6s / IOS 9 and it isnt working. Once you open the app it will crash and close immediately

Does not backup everything on the device. Not really satisfied with the app.

The app does not let you select what to restore. It does not let you see what is backed up. Finding and using features must be made more intuitive and granular. Using service with iPhone and laptop is problematic. IDrive web login acts as if you are creating a new account instead of accessing existing account. The problems are too numerous and overwhelming to mention them all. Stay away from this app and IDrive service. I dont believe any of the good reviews.

I back up all the normal iOS files but also back up all sorts of documents that I scan in as PDF files and place them into various folders that I have created. Just label the PDFs accordingly so that the very good search engine can find them. Take the time to learn the system, you wont be disappointed.

I downloaded the app and had to try it out immediately. I like how This app had given 5 gbs of space for free and that I was able to backup files thoroughly with just one file backup option. I also like that this app has backup sections for videos and contacts however there is its flaws and draw backs like for instance even though there is a backup section for most items on the phone or computer it does not include a music section and that is definitely a negative also the app is not good for backing up complex files (gets slow or cant download) also This app has no indication to it even starting from where it left off or if it starts over completely if the backup process is interrupted or seized. Overall this is a decent app and if there is a music backup section as well as more updates on this app this would be a greatly well rounded cloud and file sharing app.

Has saved my butt time and time again. Restored everything to my new iPhone seamlessly. Have never had any issues. I push all my photos and videos to IDrive and free up space on my phone. Everything is still accessible and videos can be played directly through the app. A+ product!
