IDrive Online Backup App Reviews

IDrive has worked perfectly. Everything uploaded from both my computer and iPad without any problems. I would recommend this program to anyone.

I have tried numerous times to backup my camera roll, yet the app has a plan to only backup one or two instead. The support I received was of no help. I would like a refund as it does not live up to what was promised.

This is the kind of App that gets the job done. I can upload all my confidential files to the cloud and also remotely access them just when I need them. A brilliant App.

I had another program previously but could only backup one device. I love that this program gives you the space to upload rather then limiting to one device especially in this day when a person usually has many devices. Now I have the app on my phone and I love accessing my photos from my computer plus the peace of mind knowing everything is backed up

(Paraphrasing their email) "We backed up so much of your data were gonna have to start charging you more." Ummm. How about you dont back up my data if I dont have the space? Bye.

Very minor glitches here and there but a very useful app. Gets the job done. Im happy and Im sure it will only get better!! Thank you

App wont stay up long enough to back up anything. Used to work perfectly, but the latest update introduced something buggy.

Two problems would make this an app on par with Dropbox or OneDrive: 1. Fix it so it refreshes and displays the latest backup from other devices. Mine does not. 2. Allow it to open files in the MS apps such as Word and Excel.

I tried repeatedly to get it to work. It would back up 6 photos and then shut down. Then tried manually selecting photos and it would back up 5 and then shut down. Support was pointless. Tried reloading the app three times. Same result. Then couldnt get a refund because app was bought externally. Look elsewhere.

Not getting this app. Very little direction especially when you have issues. I have tried for two days to connect to the IDrive with no luck. I have backed up my computers by hardwiring them, but have no way of physically connecting my iPhone. Very frustrating.

It has a background upload option, but it still shuts down if the screen locks of if the program is in the background (literally stopped while I typed this review).

This is a low price organization. You get what you pay for. No one answers the phone. Emails make no sense. This whole company is run with robots. I have tried for 4 days to quit. Their email directions make no sense. You get no responses that make sense. Go to Google, it works.

I can save my important files and encrypt it to keep it more secure. I do not have to worry about losing my data or files anymore now. I would love if the connectivity on this app gets stronger though.

I got this software to be able to access my idrive wireless hard drive. Every photo on my phone that I have not backed up with the software shows up as a notification. I cant put this in a folder because it obscures all my real notifications. Very poor design choice. I will update if this is fixed.

I used to use this app a lot more and have like it up to now. I recently needed to access a stored file from my backup and the app crashes trying to login. Just when I really need the app it does it work. I hope this is fixed quickly.

I have always trusted IDrive, and this app is just another value added service. Everything from my phone backed up and secure.

Very powerful - handles things well - I use Instagram heavily so love the fact that even that is backed up.

Backing data is so easy now. Nothing to worry about and easy to use. Must have app for those that require high security to their data.

Ok, so I have had the free version of IDrive for quite some time. I truly had no reason for another with OneDrive paid subscription, Google Drive paid subscription, just ended Dropbox subscription (key towards end as I still am able to use my files already uploaded here), as well as an ending sorry POGOPLUG CLOUD which was wonderful but too many not using so they are discontinuing paid cloud service, as well as Pogoplug Home devices, 4 NAS servers, a Windows Home Server 2011, & countless iMacs, and PCs able to remote data to me when needed. However, iDrives ad said upgrade to 1TB data at only $6.99 or something near for first year. So, knowing all other cloud providers will let you upload your data and after the pipe and scription if you decide not to go with them keep your data on their server. However what I drive I just recently saw that if you do not continue with this paid subscription your data will be immediately deleted. So otherwise that would be OK, but in that I had two accounts one with all my photos on it, & the other the new account for my service, which they refused to combine; then going a step forward, and assuming I wanted old account deleted after convo, & did just that, moving ahead and deleting old free account with 2.68GB data & simply moved ahead, AAAAAAAND DELETED!!! If I knew my data wouldnt be accessible at all if no paid subscription is continued after first year, what makes you think I want any of my data with you? So your Rep deleting several unrecoverable pictures, actually did me a favor in the long run because it made me more aware and know that much more in my anger in knowing I want anything further to do with your company... BUT, thanks for the lost of pictures nonetheless!!! Just FYI, I had a house fire in 1996 which lost EVERYTHING, & the main loss was my photos. To date I have managed to never loose another picture, probably being core reason I have so many backup plans and devices, but you have also broken that streak and included on your precious server which you guys dont understand in value to the consumer, was two weddings and a funeral of my best friends father he will never see again Bc for special events I use a $1600 Nikon for my priceless photos!!! So thanks for anger brought to tears!!!
